Mandip is Counsel in the Finance Group, specialising in restructuring and insolvency. Mandip has over 1O years of experience acting on a wide range of cross border distressed matters including corporate/financial restructurings, distressed M&A and formal insolvency. She represents companies, financial stakeholders, advisory firms and insolvency practitioners in relation to strategy, transactions and contentious matters. Mandip has acted on a number of high profile insolvencies and restructurings and her experience includes project financings, work in the retail sector and financial institution distress. Mandip's deal experience includes:

• advising the joint administrators of the European arm of Lehman Brothers since their appointment in 2008 , including advising on the matters which are subject to the complex Lehmans "Waterfall" litigation, which has been considered by the English High Court, Court of Appeal and is currently awaiting trial in the Supreme Court

• advising Deloittes as administrators of HMV in the sale of its business and as administrators of Towergate pie in the restructuring of the Towergate group

• advising Banco Espirito Santo and subsequently Novo Banco, in connection with the implementation of a bridge bank transfer resolution tool by Bank of Portugal

• advice in relation to cross border insolvency issues , including the reorganisation of bank resolution measures applied against a Japanese GSIB, advising in relation to insolvency risk in global cross-repo transactions and advising a Brazilian Bank in respect of distressed companies in Anguilla and Colombia

Memberships and Publications of Interest:
Mandip is a member of R3 and the Insolvency Lawyers Association in the UK and frequently presents at industry and client seminars in relation to restructur ing and insolvency topics. Mandip was on the organising committee for the recent ILA annual conference, and is a committee member of the ILA Associates Network. Mandip recently co-wrote the article "Keeping pre-packs afloat" which was published by Lexis Nexis.

Mandip was selected to attend the Linklaters Womens' Leadership Programme, a 9 month leadership programme in conjunction with Cranfield School of Management. Mandip is also a board trustee of The Lightyear Foundation, a charity which has the aim of making science accessible to children of all backgrounds and abilities.
