Chief Justice Narinder K. Hargun
Chief Justice Narinder Hargun has served as the Chief Justice of Bermuda since July 2018. He is the senior judge of the Commercial Court in Bermuda dealing in particular with international commercial litigation, trust disputes and cross border insolvency and restructuring matters.
Prior to his appointment to the Bench, Chief Justice Hargun was head of the litigation practice in the Bermuda office of a major international firm. He enjoyed a wide ranging practice in civil and commercial law including insurance/reinsurance arbitration, international trust disputes and cross border insolvency matters. During the last 5 years of his tenure he was appointed Co-Chairman of the global firm.
During the period March 1997 to March 1999 Chief Justice Hargun was elected and served as President of the Bermuda Bar Association.
Chief Justice Hargun read law at the London School of Economics (LL.B, LL.M) and was called to the Bar of England and Wales and subsequently to the Bar of Bermuda.
