Bio:
Sammy Koo was appointed as a Strategic Advisor of Des Voeux Chambers and a Partner at EY’s Strategy & Transactions team in Hong Kong. She led EY’s Debt & Capital Advisory practice in Hong Kong and was a committee member of EY’s global Legal Entity Rationalization program. Notably, she had over 23 years experiences at the forefront of some of the largest financial advisory cases across the region. She specialized in debt capital advisory, financial restructuring, sustainability financing, strategic exits, independent financial review, funding model assessment, distressed turnarounds, operational improvement, financial feasibility assessments and trading resumption of public entities.
Ms Koo regularly advised clients in a myriad of industries ranging from financial services, insurance, real estate, technology, hospitality, healthcare, energy, manufacturing, retail and asset management sectors in Greater China, US, UK, Japan, Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, Bermuda and Australia to various government or regulatory bodies such as the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and Securities and Futures Commission.
