Jochem M. Hummelen

Bio:

Jochem Hummelen (LL.M. PhD) is a lawyer in the Corporate, Arbitration, Litigation and Insolvency department at the Amsterdam office. He has a focus on insolvency law (including national and international restructurings) and litigation. Jochem has also worked on several high-profile arbitrations.

Jochem studied Dutch law at the University of Groningen (LL.B. '07 and LL.M. '10 (cum laude)) and obtained his PhD at the same university in 2015. He is a member of the Netherlands Association for Comparative and International Insolvency Law (NACIIL) and a participant in the NextGen Leadership Program of the International Insolvency Institute. Jochem is also an editor of the Groene Serie Faillissementswet and the primary editor of the multi-volume 'Parliamentary History of the Dutch Bankruptcy Act'.

Before starting with NautaDutilh in 2016 Jochem worked at another major Dutch law firm for six years.
